About Our Roles We are looking for an Associate who is passionate about risk and controls to join the Global Banking Market Regulatory Controls team, providing assurance for non-financial regulatory compliance and monitoring functions. GBM Regulatory Controls supports the firm’s regulatory obligations by overseeing the control design, implementation, enhancements, and control framework of non-financial regulatory reporting obligations within Global Banking & Markets to ensure regulatory risk in the division is appropriately managed. The team provides assurance for the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of regulatory submissions and adherence to changes in regulatory obligation Responsibilities How you will fulfill your potential The Associate will support the execution of the global team strategy & delivery for Asia obligations and take part in global initiatives. Primary responsibility entails quality assurance of regulatory reporting data reported to our regulators, design pre-trade and post-trade business controls for new regulatory implementations, and uplift to existing controls. Active engagement with global and industry peers on data analytics model as well as delivering on our methodology to improve the overall control framework of reporting obligations. The candidate will need to engage with their global Regulatory Control teams and the broader GS divisions including Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Sales and Trading. Specifically, the responsibilities of the role will involve: Establishing and overseeing daily responsibilities of Singapore GBM Regulatory Controls including the running of both internally developed controls and external third-party vendor controls Contributing to the development of the new controls, improvement of controls and their processes, and further closure of control gaps Take part in the design of pre-trade and trade controls for Sales and Trading, including control enhancements, alert management, and escalation to key stakeholders. Liaison with global counterparts and regional leads within Regulatory Control and broader GS divisions stakeholders, this includes participation in various working groups across multiple stakeholders Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Strategic Control Tooling, Analytics, and Business Intelligence focus Skills & Experience We’re Looking For Basic Qualifications The candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years’ overall working experience. Strong teamwork is essential, as well as the ability to build cross functional and divisional relationships to meet firm’s regulatory focus. Working across geographic as well as cultural borders to ensure the success of the GBM Regulatory Controls functions. Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt with rapidly changing priorities are also essential. Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep track of a large and varied workload.
