Join Our Treasury Team
Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role where your meticulous attention to detail and financial management skills can truly shine? As a Treasury Assistant in Hachette UK Ltd., you’ll be an essential part of our Treasury team, ensuring the smooth processing of payments and daily financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Financial Management : Process bank statement transactions with precision and efficiency, ensuring all daily banking activities are up-to-date and accurate.
Payment Processing : Manage both manual and automated payment runs, including our regular royalty payments, ensuring timely and accurate transfers.
Refund Processing : Accurately process refunds using Secure Trading and other banking platforms, ensuring refunds are managed efficiently.
Direct Debits & Standing Orders : Accurately record and process direct debits and standing orders, maintaining an organized approach to recurring payments.
Monthly Reconciliations : Prepare detailed and accurate monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records align with bank statements.
Cheque Management : Handle cheque banking and reconciliations with great attention to detail.
Proforma Payments : Collaborate closely with our Customer Services team to ensure timely dispatch of orders as soon as payment is received.
Stakeholder Communication : Maintain clear, consistent, and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Administrative Support : Perform essential administrative duties such as scanning, filing, and archiving.
Additional Responsibilities : Take on any other tasks as required to support the team.
What You'll Bring to the Team
We’re looking for someone who has:
Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of SAP and double-entry bookkeeping (preferred, but we’re happy to train the right person).
Experience with bank reconciliations or payment processing (a bonus).
A keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
Experience and Qualifications
Ideally, some experience in a similar role within a shared service environment.
GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required.
