Job Title: Bar Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Bar Manager to lead our bar operations.

  • To oversee the smooth operation of all bar outlets, ensuring high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, controlling expenses, and minimizing waste.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure sufficient stock levels in all outlets and schedule staff accordingly.
  • Oversee daily operations, conducting monthly stock takes and submitting claims as necessary.
  • Liaise with the F&B Operations Manager and Outlet Heads on operational matters.
  • Communicate effectively with bar staff, explaining objectives and expectations.
  • Arrange with relevant Department Heads to rectify defects and other issues.
  • Prepare weekly duty rosters and submit staff claims.
  • Monitor revenue from beverage and tobacco sales and prepare actions to achieve sales targets.
  • Observe staff performance and correct if necessary.
  • Prepare annual staff performance appraisals and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Handle customer complaints and bring them to the attention of the F&B Operations Manager.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the POS system and accurate billing of Members' Chits.
  • Provide leadership and training to staff.
  • Support Banquet and Events, and other F&B Outlets as required.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory levels and control expenses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and hospitality industry practices.
