We are looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who can lead the development of our shearography-based NDT platform from lab to field.

You will drive the technical strategy, R&D iterations, product roadmap, and team formation for a highly interdisciplinary hardware-software product. You’ll collaborate with customers, researchers, and product teams to turn bleeding-edge technology into a robust, user-centric solution.

What You’ll Do

• Own the end-to-end technical vision of NexaScan’s core product — a laser shearography-based NDT system with integrated AI-driven defect analysis.
• Iterate and innovate on the technology — improve precision, stability, automation, portability, and field usability.
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team across optics, mechanical design, embedded systems, software, and machine learning.
• Design and validate prototypes, from breadboard setups to field-ready devices.
• Collaborate closely with pilot customers to align the product roadmap with real-world industrial pain points.
• Guide software development for image processing, UX, and AI-driven diagnostics.
• Ensure product decisions align with long-term scalability, manufacturability, and compliance.
• Help raise technical capital — through grants, investors, or industry pilots.
• Be comfortable with failure, ambiguity, and iteration — and lead through it with clarity and resilience.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in engineering/product development.
• Background in systems engineering, mechatronics, applied physics, or related domains .
• Strong working knowledge of optics, lasers, mechanical stability, sensors, and control systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional product teams that span hardware, software, and AI.
• Proven track record of building complex tech products from scratch to market.
• Prior experience as a founder, CTO, or tech/product lead in an early-stage startup or deep-tech venture.
• Passion for solving customer-centric problems with technical innovation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making under ambiguity.
• Exposure to non-destructive testing (NDT), laser interferometry, or shearography.
• Experience with industrial certifications, standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
• Familiarity with OpenCV, ML frameworks, real-time imaging, or hardware/software co-design.
• Strong industry network across deep tech, manufacturing, or industrial automation.
• Seniority level: Mid-Senior level.
