
Medical Inventory Specialist

Job Description: ">
- Support pharmacists in processing medication orders for inpatient use, including data entry, packing, labeling, and coordinating delivery to wards and departments.
- Manage billing procedures to ensure accurate cost recovery of dispensed medications.
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications in compliance with USP standards, including antibiotic infusions, eye drops, syringes, and topical formulations.
- Dispense medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
Key Responsibilities
">- Monitor drug stock levels, replenish supplies, and maintain proper inventory in assigned areas.
- Receive and inspect deliveries to verify accuracy and quality against purchase records.
- Perform stock management tasks using FEFO (First-Expiry-First-Out) principles.
- Assist with medication restocking in Automated Dispensing Cabinets and unit dose repackaging processes.
Cleanroom & Equipment Maintenance
">- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the sterile cleanroom and associated tools and equipment.
Customer Service & Support
">- Provide friendly, professional assistance to patients and staff.
- Take part in department initiatives aimed at improving quality, service, and operations.
Training & General Duties
">- Help onboard and guide new team members in the pharmacy section.
- Collaborate with pharmacists in managing daily workflow and maintaining standards.
- Support hospital-wide programs such as quality circles, community outreach, and staff engagement events.
Requirements
">- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences or completion of a Certified Pharmacy Technician Course.
