Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability, and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities
Support & contribute towards the smooth operations of the IBG T&O SG Cash Ops remittance function, whilst ensuring adherence to established standards and controls.
Investigate and resolve customers' remittance queries in accordance with the established service level agreement and payment guidelines.
Work closely with business/service units, agent/correspondent banks to resolve remittance queries.
Process failed remittances in accordance with procedures without compromising quality during the process.
Adhere to agreed high service levels for turnaround time and industry/currency cut-off times.
Ensure proficiency over established Standard Operating Procedures and compliance against all relevant policies, standards, and guidelines.
Timely reporting and escalation of risk events/incidents, control issues, suspicious transactions, and presidential complaints for appropriate action.
Contribute constructively toward improvement initiatives & projects in relation to risk management, process improvement, cost reduction, etc.
Required to work on weekends to provide support for ad-hoc live verification tests.
Ad-hoc duties assigned by Team Manager.
Requirements
Good knowledge of Remittance products and understanding of risk and controls.
Good verbal & written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
Team player with a collaborative attitude.
Possess good problem-solving and analytical skills, keen eye for detail.
Ability to work with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and work under pressure independently.
Strong knowledge in intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot table).
Possess high computer literacy skill to adapt to the various systems used in Cash operations.
