Crypto Trader – Global Trading Desk Join a fast-growing, globally distributed team focused on digital assets and derivatives with a renowned market maker. As part of our dynamic crypto trading desk, you'll play a critical role in both proprietary and client-facing businesses by leveraging advanced trading systems and cutting-edge technology. As a Crypto Trader, you will act as a hands-on risk manager, ensuring the seamless operation of their trading infrastructure and strategies. This role involves a mix of strategic oversight, technical support, and close collaboration with both traders and technologists.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and refine trading strategy performance in real-time
Manage intraday market exposure and credit risk
Conduct basic operational and reliability checks on trading systems
Liaise with global counterparts to maintain alignment across the trading desk
My client is looking for someone who thrives under pressure, operates independently during non-standard hours, and has the integrity and accountability required in a high-stakes trading environment. You’ll also partner with engineers to iterate and improve our trading tools, contributing directly to the firm's technological and strategic advancement.
This role offers a unique opportunity to grow within one of the most innovative areas of electronic trading, gaining expertise in both market microstructure and digital liquidity dynamics.
About You:
1–3 years of professional experience at a financial institution or crypto market exposure is a plus
Degree in a quantitative discipline preferred, though strong recent graduates will be considered
Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, SQL, Java)
Reliable, self-starter with strong personal accountability
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Clear, concise communicator capable of adapting quickly to changing conditions
A proactive problem-solver who takes initiative to identify and resolve issues without needing direction
