Funds Audit Manager

Job Summary:

The Funds Audit Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and leading audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, focusing on the funds sector. The position involves strategic planning, review, and oversight of audit projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality audit services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and implement tailored audit strategies to meet client requirements.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior audit staff, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Review and approve audit plans, workpapers, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with professional standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact and providing proactive advice and solutions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of audit reports and financial statements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive services to clients.
  • Manage client billing and ensure adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations, adapting audit practices accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification.
  • For Manager at least 6 years of audit experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive experience in auditing funds, including mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong client service orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
