Ground Support Equipment Operations Specialist

Class 5 Driver Position
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 5 driver to support our Ground Support Equipment operations in the engineering and aviation sector. This is a contract role with strong potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate various airport vehicles and GSE units safely across facility grounds.
- Support the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of GSE equipment according to checklists and work instructions.
- Assist technicians in identifying and resolving faults to ensure smooth operations and quick turnaround times.
- Carry out basic inspections, report defects, and perform light repairs as required.
- Maintain quality standards and safety compliance during all maintenance activities.
- Provide on-the-ground feedback to improve maintenance procedures and efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A valid Class 5 driving license
- Nitec or equivalent qualification in automotive, mechanical, or technical trades preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive or related maintenance industry (NS drivers welcome to apply)
- A team player with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
- Will to work hands-on in an operational and engineering environment
