Job Title: Ground Support Equipment Operations Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled professional to support our ground support equipment operations in the engineering and aviation sector. This is a contract role with strong potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and operate various airport vehicles and GSE units safely across facility grounds.
  • Support the preventive and corrective maintenance of GSE equipment according to checklists and work instructions.
  • Assist technicians in identifying and resolving faults to ensure smooth operations and quick turnaround times.
  • Carry out basic inspections, report defects, and perform light repairs as required.
  • Maintain quality standards and safety compliance during all maintenance activities.
  • Provide on-the-ground feedback to improve maintenance procedures and efficiency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Class 5 driving license
  • Nitec or equivalent qualification in automotive, mechanical, or technical trades (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive or related maintenance industry
  • A team player with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
  • Will to work hands-on in an operational and engineering environment
