Design Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to develop their skills in mechanical systems design and contribute to the success of our organization.

  • Develop detailed tender and construction drawings for mechanical systems
  • Define project scope, identify potential issues, and raise clarifications as needed
  • Evaluate quotations and bid documents to ensure alignment with project requirements and specifications
  • Prepare and present comprehensive design reports to project stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate external design tasks for respective disciplines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce detailed tender and construction drawings for mechanical systems
  • Define project scope, identify potential issues, and raise clarifications as needed
  • Evaluate quotations and bid documents to ensure alignment with project requirements and specifications
  • Prepare and present comprehensive design reports to project stakeholders
  • Prepare and manage construction drawing management forms, ensuring all drawings are updated and accurate
  • Create and verify calculation reports to support the design process
  • Review and verify all design and construction drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements
  • Approve major equipment purchase requisitions and ensure procurement aligns with project needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in detail design of Mechanical Systems
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other mechanical design tools
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, piping, pressure vessels, plumbing, and other mechanical systems
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail. They will also be proficient in Mandarin to effectively liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.
