Lead Design Engineer Role

Job Overview:

We seek a seasoned Lead Design Engineer to drive the development and production of detailed tender and construction drawings for mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and produce detailed tender and construction drawings for mechanical systems.
  • Define project scope, identify potential issues, and raise clarifications as needed.
  • Evaluate quotations and bid documents to ensure alignment with project requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive design reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage construction drawing management forms, ensuring all drawings are updated and accurate.
  • Create and verify calculation reports to support the design process.
  • Review and verify all design and construction drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Validate major equipment and material specification sheets.
  • Approve major equipment purchase requisitions and ensure procurement aligns with project needs.
  • Coordinate external design tasks for respective disciplines.
  • Conduct design handover sessions with clients and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in detail design of Mechanical Systems (ACMV, Chilled water plant, Building Services, Cleanrooms, etc).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other mechanical design tools.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, piping, pressure vessels, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
