Job Responsibilities
Demonstrate basic knowledge of Strength & Conditioning principles and commonly seen medical/ surgical conditions and the implication to relevant client profiles.
Assist Clinic Exercise Physiologist/ Physiotherapist to implement prescribed treatment interventions including stretches, strengthening, agility/ return to sports drills, sports taping, sports massage, ultrasound and other adjuncts, ensuring client safety at all times.
Conduct standardised exercise testing/ standardised outcome measures independently.
Monitor patient's status throughout the session and escalate any issues to referring/ supervising clinician promptly.
Document all assessment and interventions in accurate and timely manner.
Assist with clinic logistics as assigned.
Upon completion of relevant training, work with assigned sport/ teams in the role of Sports Trainer – including Injury Prevention, Basic On-field Injury Management, Recovery and Performance. This is for sports related training and/or competition, both local and overseas.
Job Requirements
Diploma in Sports and Wellness/ Sports Science or similar.
Experience working with sports teams an asset.
Certification in Sports Taping/ Sports Massage an asset.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Availability to travel when necessary.
