We are seeking an English and Literature teacher to join our community.

Job Description:

  • To teach IB English and Literature in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), inspiring students to appreciate language, critical thinking and the beauty of literature.
  • To design engaging lessons that integrate language, culture and literature, preparing students for internal and external IB assessments.
  • To mentor students to develop analytical, writing and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach IB English and Literature courses in MYP and DP, fostering a love of learning among students.
  • Design and implement curriculum that integrates language, culture and literature, promoting inquiry-based learning.
  • Mentor students to develop skills necessary for academic success, including analysis, writing and communication.

Duties:

  • Supervise duties at break/lunch and/or other unstructured times.
  • Lead/coach an after school CCA (co-curricular activity).
  • Assist in internal sub coverage according to department needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Literature or Education.
  • 2-3 years of working experience in teaching preferred.
  • Strong background in English and Literature instruction.
  • Curriculum development knowledge required.
