Assistant Manager/Senior Assistant Manager, Business Development and Marketing

We are seeking an experienced professional to join the Academic Team at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI). As Assistant Manager/Senior Assistant Manager, Business Development and Marketing, you will assist in the business development, outreach, and recruitment functions for our undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programmes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive Business Growth: Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue for WKWSCI's Graduate and Continuing Education (CE) programmes.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand demand and trends, as well as competitors' offerings in postgraduate and continuing education.
  • Representation: Articulate the value proposition for graduate and CE programmes to senior management of corporations and alumni.
  • Partnerships: Formulate and execute engagement plans to establish new markets and forge industry/corporate/alumni partnerships.
  • Lead Conversion: Drive conversion from leads generated through marketing campaigns and inquiries.
  • Programme Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design new CE/executive programme offerings for external organisations and alumni.
  • New Markets: Identify opportunities for recruiting undergraduate international students.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with prospective Institute of Higher Learning to market undergraduate programmes and explore potential scholarships and admission opportunities.
  • Cohesive Communication: Establish effective communication across all platforms to meet student recruitment objectives.
  • Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a marketing strategy to promote the brand and positioning of our undergraduate, graduate, and CE programmes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in any discipline, preferably with 6-8 years of work experience in business development and marketing. Experience in education/training is advantageous.
  • Implementation: Proven experience in implementing sales and marketing tactics, supporting proposal development, and monitoring progress.
  • Leads Management: Experience with leads management process, database management, and customer relationship management tools.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive messages.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and build relationships.
  • Team Player: Strong team player with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to drive multiple work streams and priorities with competing deadlines.
  • Administrative Skills: Strong administrative and planning skills, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to evolving business needs and changing priorities.
  • Customer Service: Positive attitude with customer-service orientation.
  • Technology Savviness: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and database management tools.
