Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook Chinese vegetarian bee hoon, fried noodles, rice, and side dishes (e.g., fried food, vegetables, spring rolls, etc).
  • Ensure food is cooked according to taste, texture, and presentation standards.
  • Handle food preparation such as washing, cutting, frying, and portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain stall cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards according to NEA requirements.
  • Manage daily stock levels, check freshness of vegetables and ingredients, and assist in ordering supplies.
  • Serve customers efficiently during peak hours, ensuring consistency in food quality and portioning.
  • Work closely with stall assistants to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in cooking Chinese vegetarian dishes, especially fried bee hoon, is preferred.
  • Able to handle wok, deep fryer, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of vegetarian food ingredients (eg soya products) is an advantage.
  • Physically fit, able to work in a fast-paced coffeeshop environment.
  • Good hygiene practices and valid Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
