Job Description
This role is responsible for overseeing the effective management of all assessment-related processes. The successful candidate will ensure accurate administration, secure handling, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management

• Lead a team to ensure smooth operation of assessment processes, providing guidance and training as needed.

• Conduct regular team meetings to monitor progress, address challenges, and align with departmental goals.
2. Assessment Administration

• Oversee scheduling, preparation, and administration of assessments in accordance with policies and timelines.

• Ensure timely communication and publication of assessment details and code of conduct to students and stakeholders.

• Maintain examination integrity through adherence to established SOPs and consistent quality control measures.
3. Results and Assessment Management

• Oversee marking, moderation, and results release processes, ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.

• Resolve outstanding results, including GNS, DA, and X cases, in a timely manner.

• Prepare accurate Board of Examiners reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy of assessment data.
4. Academic Status Management

• Update academic statuses records accurately in Student Learning Management Systems in a timely manner.

• Monitor communication of academic statuses to students and manage appeal process, ensuring timely communication.
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Develop and implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of assessment administration and results management.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, policies, and industry best practices.
6. Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with academic staff, departments, and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and communication of assessment activities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are also required.
Qualifications and Experience
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in assessment management or a related field is necessary. Demonstrated experience in managing teams and overseeing assessment processes within an educational institution is also required.
