Overview

Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a senior leader to establish and drive the use of advanced analytics, data science, and machine learning to solve complex, real-world industrial challenges. The role will focus initially on manufacturing but will extend across the end-to-end value chain, with solutions deployed locally and globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists to deliver AI/ML solutions for logistics, supply chain, assembly, quality, and maintenance operations.
  • Standardize data and MLOps platforms for multi-site, global usage.
  • Lead strategic AI/ML projects from inception to scaled production deployment.
  • Represent the organization in global AI/ML committees, aligning development efforts and scaling adoption across international sites.
  • Drive the application of Generative AI, LLMs, and other emerging technologies beyond proof-of-concept into operational environments.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience leading large-scale AI/ML projects in industrial environments, ideally in manufacturing or automotive.
  • Proven track record in scaling data science solutions into production.
  • Strong leadership in managing cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in global collaboration and influencing senior stakeholders.
