Assistant Senior Manager (Campus Planning)
Job Description
• Coordinates the University's efforts to analyze, develop, implement and maintain the campus space and master planning for NUS campuses.
- Leads and organizes the University's efforts to analyze, develop, implement and maintain the campus planning / master plans for NUS campuses.
- Reviews campus demand and supply and its growth. Reviews user requests for works and makes recommendations on a wide variety of campus planning issues that include cadastral boundaries, building sites, landscape, connectivity and mobility systems, and other related infrastructure components.
- Manages campus planning and space program of projects, working with internal stakeholders and project managers, carrying out feasibility studies and test fits.
- Conducts space reviews and audits, reviewing space use occupancy processes through the use of technology and managing user expectations.
- Champions long-range planning and strategic problem-solving to address campus facility, land-use, and development issues; participates in the annual update of the University's five-year capital budget plan to ensure consistency with and/or revision of the Campus Development Plan.
- Establishes and implements effective unit operating policies, systems, and procedures that are consistent with overall organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating standards.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Interior Design planning, or other related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Architecture / Interior Design / Real Estate, land use planning, and relevant experience in the Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) with strong analytical capabilities will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the arenas of planning and design, environmental sustainability, site design, architecture, space planning, and/or engineering disciplines.
- Good communication skills to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and the ability to apply critical thinking skills to resolve complex issues.
- A responsible team player, self-motivated, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities/actions holistically to achieve desired results.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word/Excel and PowerPoint for presentations, and knowledge of software such as AutoCAD/REVIT/GIS including BIM will be preferred.
