Job Summary

The Facility Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities.

This position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Ensure all equipment, floors, locker rooms, and other areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis.
  • Maintenance Checks: Conduct regular checks to ensure gym equipment is clean and in good working order.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, and polish floors regularly to maintain a clean and safe environment for members.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash and recyclables, replace liners, and keep waste disposal areas tidy.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Clean restrooms thoroughly and restock with paper products, soap, and essentials as needed.
  • Supply Management: Replenish cleaning supplies and paper products as needed to maintain an adequate inventory.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
