Responsibilities:
  • Assist Asia Trading team in monitoring and executing equities trades on behalf of the Portfolio Managers
  • Take active part in developing new Excel and/or Python tools for the traders on the desk to streamline trading processes
  • Provide market color and flows to the trading desk and Portfolio Managers on specific stock or index price movements throughout the day
  • Interact with operations, compliance, technology and portfolio finance team on handling trading related tasks that help with book-keeping and audit trails
  • Keep on top of regional market developments and trading opportunities
  • Follow regulations and policy to adhere to best-ex, whilst maintaining execution quality for all Portfolio Managers (Long Short/Quant/Index Rebalance/Event-Arbitrage)
Ideal candidate should have:
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics, or a Technical field (Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering) from a reputable university
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an equity trader/trade assistant function from the buyside or sellside
  • Experience trading the India public equities market is a plus
  • Relevant coding skills and knowledge on using AI related applications in Python
  • Enthusiastic about financial markets and self-drive. Eager and able to learn fast
