Expert System Analyst Position

We are seeking an accomplished Expert System Analyst to lead strategic system analysis across intricate business initiatives.

You will mentor a team of analysts, translate complex business needs into sophisticated technical solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient system implementation and optimization.

  • Lead requirements gathering and management across stakeholder groups. Validate, document, and manage evolving system specifications.
  • Conduct business process analysis, identifying inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities. Utilize modeling techniques to propose optimized workflows.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs, data mappings, integration specs (APIs, source-to-target mapping), and user acceptance testing criteria.
  • Oversee design documentation, test plans, functional and non-functional specifications; validate and test solutions through QA and UAT phases.
  • Serve as technical liaison: aligning IT delivery (developers, architects, QA) with stakeholder expectations and timelines. Escalate issues and act as primary point of contact.
  • Mentor, train, and lead junior system/business analysts; contribute to staff hiring, performance reviews, and ongoing development.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, establish best practices for analysis and documentation standards across the team.
  • Participate in strategic planning, enterprise architecture initiatives, and assess risk/opportunities associated with systems enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems/business analysis; including 1+ years in a supervisory position.
  • Experience with Data and/or AI will be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Able to translate technical details into business-friendly language.
