Job Title: Kitchen Supervisor
Kitchen supervisors are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a kitchen. They ensure that food is prepared and served to high standards, while maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
2. Plan and coordinate menu preparation, including ordering ingredients and supplies.
3. Maintain kitchen equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in good working order and meet health and safety standards.
4. Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as needed to maintain high standards.
5. Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
6. Implement safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
7. Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a kitchen supervisor or in a similar role.
2. Strong leadership and communication skills.
3. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Basic math skills and ability to manage inventory and budgets.
5. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
6. Ability to train and develop staff members.
