Visit icf.com to learn more.Role Summary:As a selected candidate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting large assignments by leading research, analysis, modeling, report writing, and client presentations. Additionally, you will contribute towards generating new business opportunities through client engagement, lead generation, and proposal writing. This role offers the chance to leverage your academic knowledge and experience, lead projects, engage with experts and clients, and enhance your content knowledge and consulting skills.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct advanced quantitative and economic analysis of energy markets in India, focusing on electric power and fuels markets, prices, power plant operations, fuel consumption, environmental impacts, regulatory effects, and other relevant parameters.- Engage in extensive data research and maintenance of energy-related databases by updating information from various sources including data providers, industry publications, regulatory agencies, and web research.- Track current information on the energy sector, especially in generation, transmission, and distribution, and integrate it into existing industry databases.- Develop new industry databases as necessary and conduct thorough analyses of forecasts and changes based on updated inputs.- Collaborate with clients on key deliverables, prepare documents and summaries for submission, and create papers and presentations for external publications.- Contribute effectively to project delivery by leading research, analysis, and the preparation of deliverables, supporting large consulting engagements, and providing market insights and analytical assessments of energy policies and markets.Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical) or Economics from reputable institutions.- 2-5 years of relevant experience in the energy industry.- Demonstrated quantitative skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Preferred Experience:- 0-2 years of experience in energy markets, energy planning, modeling, and strategic planning.- Knowledge of power markets, power price forecasting, fuel price forecasting, and the power/fuel sector.- Previous consulting experience and strong modeling skills, particularly in advanced Microsoft Excel, VBA, R, and Macros.Working at ICF:ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider that stands out for its expertise and technology-driven solutions, helping clients tackle complex challenges, navigate change, and shape the future.Candidate AI Usage Policy:ICF is dedicated to ensuring a fair and equitable interview process for all candidates based on their skills and knowledge.
