Radiation Physicists are scientists who utilise the principles of physics, methods and techniques in clinical practice and research for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases with a specific goal of improving human health and well-being. They provide scientific and technical support in the Radiation Therapy, Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Departments within our hospitals. How to become a Radiation Physicist?To practise as a Radiation Physicist, you will require a Postgraduate Degree (MSc or PhD) in Medical Physics or an associated field (e.g. Physics or Engineering). Currently, there are no training institutions in Singapore offering courses in Medical Physics. However, there are a number of overseas institutions offering professional courses in Medical Physics such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, UK and USA.
