Description Manufacturing Station in Malaysia - Global Senior Network Security Engineer / Analyst Location: Johor Bahru (Able to Stay in Malaysia) Gross Salary: RM 12,000 - 20,000 ( Depends on Experience and Working Skill ) Job Type: Full-time Reporting To: Director, Infrastructure Architecture & Engineering Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer/Analyst to play a critical role in safeguarding our enterprise network environment. This position is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing advanced network security solutions while proactively detecting, investigating, and mitigating security threats. The role demands strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Architect, configure, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, NAC, and WAF solutions. Manage next-generation firewalls (NGFW), with hands-on Palo Alto expertise required . Apply zero-trust architecture (ZTA) principles to strengthen enterprise network defenses. Optimize segmentation and micro-segmentation to enhance isolation and reduce attack surface. Deploy and maintain DDoS protection, DNS security, and secure web filtering. Secure cloud connectivity with AWS transport/security services (VPCs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, etc.). Monitor traffic, detect anomalies, and respond to incidents using SIEM, SOAR, and threat intelligence tools. Lead incident response activities, including forensic investigations and root cause analysis. Partner with SOC teams to improve threat visibility and enable proactive threat hunting. Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and firewall policy reviews. Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS , and other security frameworks. Automate network security processes through Python, Ansible, or similar scripting tools . Streamline firewall rule lifecycle and change management procedures. Explore AI/ML-driven security tools to strengthen threat detection and prevention. Contribute to risk assessments for vendors and third-party integrations. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience). 5+ years in network security engineering, analysis, or similar roles. Deep expertise in firewall configuration, secure network design, and IDS/IPS. Proven experience with Cisco or Palo Alto solutions (Palo Alto preferred). Strong knowledge of SIEM platforms and packet/traffic analysis tools. Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud network security and related services. Familiarity with encryption standards, PKI, and remote access technologies. Exposure to incident response frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, or SANS IR. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Aruba ClearPass NAC implementation and management experience.
