Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute maintenance tasks for power systems and electrical components in workshops and onboard vessels.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely completion of workscopes.
  • Lead a team of electricians in performing corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Compile work completion reports for customer acceptance.
  • Ensure compliance with vessel safety regulations during maintenance works.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting of electrical connections and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programs.
  • Coordinate with vendors, conduct design reviews with clients, and maintain documentation according to quality management standards.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in the marine or oil & gas industry.
  • Candidates with no experience may apply.
  • Experience working with 440V main switchboards, distribution boards, transformers, power generators, main engines, converters, inverters, batteries, fire alarm systems, flooding systems, and ship control monitoring systems is advantageous.
  • Troubleshooting experience on various PLC brands (Panasonic, Omron, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB, etc.) is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in selecting and integrating sensors, pneumatic systems, stepper and servo motors, power supply units, and other electrical hardware is required.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams up to 6 members, including supervisors and technicians, is desirable.
  • Able to work as part of a team to achieve project objectives within set timelines.
  • Comfortable with report writing and able to communicate effectively.
  • Willingness to work onboard vessels and at heights is necessary.
