Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Are you an electrical engineering professional looking for a challenging role that involves planning, coordinating and overseeing the preventive maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and machinery? We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, coordinating and overseeing the preventive maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and machinery.
  • Supervising and managing a team of technicians to ensure the timely, safe and effective execution of daily, periodic and shutdown maintenance activities.
  • Leading troubleshooting efforts and responding promptly to equipment breakdowns, conducting in-depth technical investigations and analyses to identify root causes and recommending corrective measures to improve reliability.
  • Developing, reviewing and refining maintenance procedures and methodologies to enhance maintenance practices and increase equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation, including maintenance procedures, technical reports, inventory management and records related to ongoing and completed projects.
  • Providing technical expertise to optimize operational processes and leverage continuous improvement principles to increase equipment uptime and asset utilization.
  • Coordinating and managing the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Managing relationships with external contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and contract terms.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (DEEE) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the facilities management or building services.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Experience managing maintenance teams and coordinating with external contractors.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, regulations and compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
