Role: IT Software Asset Management Specialist GENERAL DESCRIPTION Software Asset Management (SAM) is a business practice that involves managing and optimizing the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and disposal of software applications within our company. Effective SAM helps us to reduce costs, minimize legal and security risks, and improve IT efficiency by ensuring that all software assets are properly licensed, configured and up to date. By running SAM, we can gain visibility of our software inventory, streamline software procurement and deployment, and make informed decisions about software investments to support the overall business strategy. The IT Software Asset Management Specialist will be a member of the IT Service Management team. SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION Personal and Social Ability to work independent and as part of a virtual team Good communication, presentation and organizational skills in cross-cultural environments Ability to interact and communicate with different teams and hierarchy levels Motivated for self-learning and information gathering Adaptability and willingness for continuous learning Keep attention to details and accurate working Ability to analyse problems and provide solutions to complex issues and challenges Remain calm and focused in stressful situation Professional and Technical Candidate must have at least 5-7+ years experience in Software Asset Management or related field Experience with Software Asset Management and discovery tools Strong understanding of software license models and software contracts Profound know-how of IT Infrastructures and audit requirements Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and SQL for developing or customizing reporting/automation solutions. Familiarity with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting) is an advantage. Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and RESTful API integrations is beneficial. Generate and analyse software inventory, usage and compliance reports as well as cost saving opportunities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills The following educations are an advantage: ITIL Foundation Certificate, Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or ISO/IEC 19770 (SAM standards)If you are keen to explore the above role, please send across your updated resume to and we can discuss to proceed further.
