Job Responsibilities
Motivate, encourage, and inspire members to participate in programs and exercises at the center.
Support outreach efforts to attract more members to the center.
Assist with home visits and community screening for seniors.
Coordinate with volunteers and ensure the screening process is followed.
Maintain good relationships with service providers and grassroots organizations.
Facilitate matching of befrienders and befriendees and monitor effectiveness through feedback and surveys.
Assist in arranging and conducting training with volunteer trainers on communication skills, dementia and mental health awareness, chronic disease knowledge, etc.
Organize monthly/quarterly meetings for volunteers for peer sharing and learning.
Centre Service Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation
Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities and wellness programs that focus on building individual seniors' self-help capacity and supporting aging in place.
Support and achieve the organization's active aging goals and KPIs.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the center and its items, including cleaning during staff absences.
Cover center-based and interest group programs as needed in case of unexpected situations or trainer absences.
Participate in ad-hoc festive events and outings.
Participate in team meetings and other operational tasks as needed.
Administration Duties
Maintain attendance records and registration of existing and new members.
Conduct safe-entry checks, temperature checks, and screening logs.
Attend to walk-in customers and inquiries.
Register all volunteers, befriendees, and home visit records.
Document information and referrals for befriendees and client satisfaction surveys.
Ensure timely administration and documentation according to MOH and other relevant regulations.
Maintain inventories and tools belonging to the Active Ageing Care Hub.
Assist in conducting pre- and post-program assessments for members.
Support other duties as assigned during staff leave or absences.
Activate resources for seniors to improve their health outcomes.
Network with seniors and community partners.
Administer feedback and collate evaluations of activities.
Provide administrative support, including managing inquiries, scheduling activities, liaising with caregivers, and handling admissions and attendance.
Other administrative functions include invoicing, fee collection, cash receipting, banking, document management, and filing.
Assist Reporting Officers in preparing routine reports for MOH.
Assist Reporting Officers in purchasing and monitoring center supplies.
Assist Reporting Officers in coordinating repairs and maintenance at the center.
Handle logistics and liaison for events and meetings.
Assist colleagues with client matters and manage adverse situations during operations.
Perform any other duties assigned by Reporting Officers.
Requirements
GCE O levels with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
Experience in healthcare settings is advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Computer savvy and quick to learn.
Meticulous, organized, and reliable.
Able to multi-task and manage stress.
Outgoing personality, willing to engage actively with seniors.
Positive learning attitude with good communication skills.
Able to maintain confidentiality of client information.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 8 am to 5:30 pm, Friday: 7:30 am to 5 pm
Salary:
SGD 1,820 to SGD 3,044
