KeyStart
is a home ownership programme supporting families with children living in rental communities who aspire to own homes. We aim to transform families' lives through stable, adequate, and conducive housing by providing financial support, housing case work, and transitional support as they progress towards home ownership.
We are expanding our team and seek passionate individuals aligned with our mission. The
Senior Home Ownership Specialist , supervised by the Head of Department (Home Ownership), will be a key team member. This role involves managing the Home Ownership team, mentoring Junior Specialists, and supporting families throughout their home ownership journey.
Key responsibilities include:
Programme Development and Implementation:
Contribute to developing and enhancing the KeyStart programme to meet beneficiary needs, and assist in reviewing department structures, processes, and policies.
Home Ownership Assessment and Guidance:
Conduct assessments of families’ needs and challenges, providing guidance and education to empower their home ownership efforts.
Casework Services:
Offer personalized casework, develop action plans, set goals, and support families through home renovations under the Basic Habitation Programme.
Partnership & Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain relationships with government and community partners, facilitate resource sharing, and advocate for families to access necessary resources.
Advocacy:
Advocate with stakeholders, including government agencies, to overcome systemic barriers faced by families in their home ownership journey.
Data Management:
Keep accurate, confidential records of family progress and interventions.
Research & Evaluation:
Prepare reports on programme activities and outcomes, and conduct practice research for continuous improvement.
Supervision & Training:
Conduct training sessions, provide supervision to Junior Specialists, and support team development, ensuring alignment with SOPs and policies.
