Description
We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing special meals and ensuring the quality of food prepared. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will make you an asset to our culinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
- Maintain food logs
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared
- Communicate assistance needed during busy periods
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point of sale system
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
