Overview

Join to apply for the Optical Fabrication Operator role at Coherent Corp.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform optics fabrication process such as part shaping, cutting, rounding, cleaning, milling, polishing and inspection.
  • Demonstrate multiple task skills by operating at least three skill sets in the Fabrication or Polishing section.
  • Produce parts according to process specifications and achieve required specifications on each process.
  • Provide training to new employees if necessary.
  • Follow all duties, work instructions and standard procedures.

Education & Experience

  • Secondary education experience or Trade Certificate holder.
  • Comfortable to work in a cleanroom environment and able to follow strict policy and procedures in the cleanroom environment.
  • Candidates with NITEC certificate but without working experience are welcome to apply.

Skills

  • Able to pay attention to details, careful and thorough in work attitude.
  • Ability to perform machine setup and simple troubleshooting.
  • Experience with laser-related measurement equipment such as wedge setup and Zygo interferometer.
  • Proficient in measurement instruments like calipers and dial indicators.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., data entry).
  • Work effectively with team members.

Working Conditions

  • This role is 100% onsite.
  • Monday to Friday; must be open to shift hours on normal workdays.
