M&E Coordinator Job Description

The M&E Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of all measurement and evaluation works at site in a timely manner.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure thorough understanding of contract requirements and M&E specifications.
  • Coordinate with design consultants on design intent, ensuring seamless integration of technical aspects.
  • Work closely with in-house architectural & structural team to minimize discrepancies and optimize project outcomes.
  • Review and prepare material samples for submission with shop drawings.
  • Chair meetings to facilitate M&E coordination.
  • Develop and issue M&E coordination drawings, collaborating with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers.
  • Assess, prepare and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services.
  • Maintain adherence to safety practices throughout the work place.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognized University.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in coordinating M&E works with different trades (e.g. C&S & Archi) and other stakeholders (e.g. consultant and subcontractors) for large scale building projects with an A1 main contractor.
  • Candidates with experience in mixed development, condominium or data center projects will have an added advantage.
  • Thorough understanding of contract requirements and M&E specifications.
  • Familiarity with BIM concept and ability to supervise and push for timely completion of M&E works with relevant stakeholders.
  • Able to manage and solve complex problems at site.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all essential code of practices and relevant authority requirements for submissions of documents and inspections.
  • Understanding and participation in the implementation of Virtual Design Construction (VDC) concept.
