Crane Erection Specialist

As a Crane Erection Specialist, you will play a critical role in the installation and dismantling of tower cranes, mobile cranes, and other heavy-lift machinery at job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and dismantle tower cranes, mobile cranes, and other heavy-lift machinery
  • Assemble and disassemble crane components
  • Ensure proper alignment and torqueing of bolts and structural connections
  • Perform jacking up or jacking down operations for tower cranes using hydraulic systems

Inspection and Testing:

  • Conduct pre-erection inspections of crane components and lifting gear
  • Verify compliance with all relevant safety protocols
  • Assist in load testing and function checks as required

Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to risk assessment, safe work procedures, and fall protection protocols
  • Report safety incidents, hazards, or equipment defects immediately
  • Ensure compliance with all site-specific safety rules

Team Coordination:

  • Collaborate closely with riggers, signalmen, crane operators, and site supervisors
  • Interpret crane manuals, drawings, and engineering plans accurately
  • Communicate effectively during lifting and installation activities

Documentation:

  • Complete crane erection checklists and handover documents
  • Maintain accurate records of work activities, inspections, and non-conformities
