Job Title: Heavy Machinery Installer

About the Role:
As a skilled heavy machinery installer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation and dismantling of tower cranes, mobile cranes, and other heavy-lift equipment at construction sites. Your expertise will involve assembling and disassembling crane components, installing mast sections, turntables, jibs, counterweights, and climbing frames. Additionally, you will perform crucial jacking up or jacking down operations for tower cranes using hydraulic jacking systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Inspection: Inspect crane parts and lifting gear before assembly to ensure proper alignment and torqueing of bolts and structural connections.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Assist in load testing and function checks as required to guarantee crane safety and efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with riggers, signalmen, crane operators, and site supervisors to coordinate lifting and installation activities.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate logs of work activities, inspections, and non-conformities to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and site-specific safety rules.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience and Knowledge: Construction experience with knowledge of risk assessment, safe work procedures (SWP), and fall protection protocols.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to interpret crane manuals, drawings, and engineering plans accurately.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills to communicate clearly during lifting and installation activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Word for documentation purposes.
