Job description:
Position Overview
The PMO Manager will provide support for the NGEMR Project team.
Role & Responsibilities
Ensure NGEMR PMs submit NGEMR initiated projects/National Projects in the budgeting tool.
Oversee the overall NGEMR Annual Budget.
Track to ensure assessments are completed by NGEMR PMs as needed.
Understand the budgeting process, tool, and timeline to provide guidance to NGEMR PMs.
Ensure PMs provide regular Project Status updates.
Remind NGEMR PMs to update the necessary Project tracker and tools.
Highlight projects with risks/issues/delays.
Provide Statistics/Data Points, for example:
Aging of Demands (e.g., from demand raised to demand approved, turnaround time of demands)
Key Life-Cycle: Pre-assessment, Procurement, Execution (how many completed, how many in assessment, which projects have issues, etc.)
Track and process incoming ad-hoc change requests.
Familiarize with the NGEMR Enhancement Process and provide guidance to NGEMR PMs.
Provide statistics for management report/analysis.
Set up new processes/templates or fine-tune existing ones as needed.
Requirements
Prior experience with PMO is an advantage.
Prior experience with budgeting is an advantage.
Prior experience in overseeing project/change request portfolio is an advantage.
High proficiency with Excel is an advantage; minimally able to use Excel proficiently (e.g., able to use formulas such as vlookup, pivot, etc.).
Good with numbers, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to prioritize work and meet delivery timelines.
Strong communication skills.
