Position Description
As an IOT Specialist, you will be a crucial member of the customer journey, collaborating closely with our sales, onboarding, and software development teams. You will guide customers through data integration and technical aspects of their journey, assisting with connecting their facilities' data into our cloud platform. This role involves technical consulting, programming gateway devices, and generating keys and scripts. You will support onboarding new plants to ensure seamless connectivity and perform initial exploration, cleaning, and quality assessment of historical plant data.

What you bring to the team:
University degree or diploma in a technical field such as mechanical, chemical, process, or environmental engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices
Experience conducting data analysis with metadata
Ability to learn and apply engineering concepts quickly
Ability to learn new software rapidly
Excellent customer service skills
Attention to detail and analytical skills
Analytical and process-oriented mindset
Responsibilities
Work with customer IT teams to set up network configurations for cloud access
Collaborate with IIoT gateway vendors to understand device scripts and interfaces
Coordinate with programming staff to configure gateways and PLCs
Review and interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and datasheets
Perform data exploration, cleaning, and quality assessment
Understand water treatment plant operations to set KPIs and optimization models
Use Pani's toolbox to configure KPIs, models, charts, and reports
Analyze sensor data to identify errors or anomalies
Verify work through engineering analysis and software testing
Collaborate with engineering and software teams to improve onboarding tools
Nice to Have
Over 1 year of experience working with software development teams
Experience in the water industry, especially water/wastewater treatment
Experience working for a SaaS startup
