Regional Index Product Manager

Your Team Responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity to work within the well-established global MSCI index business and within the fastest growing region - Asia Pacific. The successful candidate will join a talented and dynamic team to help continue to drive MSCI’s growth in Asia Pacific. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen but have an ‘owner operator’ mentality with an ability to deliver results in good time. They will work with Research, Sales and Clients on a day-to-day basis to understand industry trends, client needs and business requirements to then translate into growth opportunities for MSCI and execute. The successful candidate must have worked within and have deep knowledge of MSCI’s core client segments – Asset Managers, Investment Banks, Private Banks and Asset Owners.
Your Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy and Execution
– Form, articulate and execute on our strategic objectives and projects to drive growth in Asia Pacific with a dedicated focus on markets across South Asia. This can include, but is not limited to leading and executing key strategic initiatives, global communication of strategic priorities, managing and running mini business lines locally and opining on client commercial agreements
Product Strategy, Development & Implementation
– Partner with key global stakeholders to create, shape and bring to market new, innovative and relevant index solutions – both globally and in region. This can include, but is not limited to developing new index ideas, working to bring new solutions to market and ensuring post-launch revenue targets are met
Business Change Management
– Form, own and execute projects of all sizes to deliver best in class outcomes for the Business and MSCI’s clients. This will involve managing groups of internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
Prior industry experience in Sell Side/HF or a similar investment-oriented field, ideally with a focus on business strategy and/or product strategy and development
Strategic and commercial mindset with prior experience of defining and delivering core strategic initiatives – ideally in corporate/product strategy or project management roles within the financial industry
Ability to form and articulate crisp strategic thinking via both oral presentation and presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint
Independent and inquisitive thinker with an owner operator mentality. Must have a burning desire to deliver results and enjoy seeing projects from genesis to conclusion
Strong project management skills with prior successful experience of managing, running and executing complex projects
Understanding of index investing and design with excellent understanding of financial markets
Excellent presentation and communication skills
