Job Summary:

The Head of Index Operations plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of index products that serve as benchmarks for regional and global markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee daily index calculation, maintenance, and publication processes across all indices.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage end-to-end index operations including corporate actions processing, index reviews, and rebalancing constituent changes.
  • Reliability and Accuracy: Ensure high reliability and accuracy in real-time index calculation systems.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of index analysts, operations specialists, and technology professionals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure full compliance with MAS regulations and international index governance standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in index management or financial markets operations, ideally with leadership exposure.
  • Proven track record in index operations at major exchanges, index providers, or asset management firms.
  • Solid understanding of index construction methodologies and financial market data systems.
