We are seeking a UX Designer to join the product team and help shape the user experience of a next-generation, public sector analytics platform . This role is ideal for someone who thrives across the full design lifecycle—from discovery and user research through to high-fidelity design, usability testing, and collaboration with developers in an agile environment. How We Work As part of an agile scrum team, you will collaborate closely with public sector stakeholders , product managers, and engineers to inform design decisions and deliver user-centric digital experiences. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, and sound design judgment. What to Expect Within your first month: Understand the overall product strategy and UX vision. Conduct a UX audit or review the existing design landscape. Contribute design screens and assets for ongoing sprints. By the end of 3 months: Gather requirements and co-create solutions with stakeholders and the scrum team. Prototype, test, and ship at least one new feature to the product backlog. After 6 months: Lead user research efforts to identify opportunities for product improvements. Propose and design enhancements to existing workflows or features in collaboration with designers, engineers, and product managers. Beyond that: You’ll continue solving meaningful problems, such as: Empowering the public sector to create seamless citizen experiences across digital services. Helping citizens complete their tasks easily and efficiently. Addressing pain points to improve operational efficiency. Using data insights to improve and optimize public services. Designing for scalability and reusability across multiple products. How to Succeed Product & User-Centric Mindset Passionate about using technology to serve the public good. Able to quickly grasp use cases and translate them into intuitive task flows. Skilled at balancing user needs with stakeholder objectives to deliver impactful design solutions. Collaborative, open to co-creation, and values team input to achieve the best outcomes. Agile and lean — capable of rapidly prototyping, testing, and iterating to validate ideas. Data-driven, leveraging research and analytics to inform and justify design decisions. Committed to analyzing user feedback and iterating continuously to enhance usability. Ability to translate user research into actionable design insights. Skilled in transforming complex tasks into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with frontend development concepts is a plus. Preferred Qualifications 4–5 years of professional experience as a UX Designer or in a similar role within digital product teams. A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work—from research and prototyping to usability testing and delivery. Experience facilitating design workshops, gathering requirements, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Good understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)and designing for diverse user groups. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in agile product environments.
