In this role, you will oversee the design, development, deployment and maintenance of complex systems, ensuring they meet business needs and technical requirements. You will manage a team of System Engineers, coordinating with various stakeholders, and driving best practices in system engineering processes.**Responsibilities:*** Lead, mentor and manage a team of System Engineers to deliver high-quality systems solutions.* Plan, prioritise and oversee system engineering projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software development, hardware engineering, system integration, and operations.* Coach team members for system architecture/solutioning, technical requirements definition, and integration strategies by putting in place best practices.* Support requirement gathering, architecture design, costing at the bid/presales stage.* Support the design, implementation, testing and validation of systems during the bid/presales and project delivery.* Ensure adherence to engineering standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.* Manage team resources including the hiring, new hire onboarding and continuous improvement.* Identify risks and implement mitigation plans throughout project lifecycles.* Promote continuous improvement through process optimization and adoption of best practices.* Communicate project status, technical issues and solutions to senior management and stakeholders.* Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.**Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.* 10+ years of experience in system engineering with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.* Strong understanding of system engineering principles, methodologies and tools.* Experience with system design, modeling, simulation, integration, and testing.* Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks.* Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.* Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.* Experience in working with customers such as government agencies and airports.At Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
