Job Summary
Leads the development and execution of
open innovation initiatives
(e.g. collaborating with startups, etc) to
identify, pilot and scale
breakthrough technologies
and
business models
Job Responsibilities
Innovation Strategy
Translate corporate strategy into innovation roadmaps and thematic priorities (e.g. MaaS, battery / EV infrastructure, etc)
Open Innovation Management
Identify, evaluate and onboard startups, scaleups and partners aligned with the strategic technologies and business priorities
Design and implement open calls, hackathons, etc and establish governance processes, templates / tools to monitor progress, risks and deliverable
Maintain portfolio of innovation projects and partners
Manage the end-to-end innovation funnel – from idea sourcing, evaluation to POC / Pilot deployment
Communication & Culture Building
Promote culture of innovation through internal engagement programs, demo, showcases and learning sessions
Requirements
6 – 10 years of experience in Innovation, R&D, product development or startup collaboration, ideally within automotive, mobility or tech sectors
Degree or related experience in Innovation, R&D, product development or startup collaboration, ideally within automotive, mobility or tech sectors
Experience in managing open innovation programs or startup accelerators
Familiarity with innovation ecosystems (startups, VCs, academia) around Asia Region
Ability to evaluate technical and commercial viability of emerging technologies
Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in agile and lean innovation methods
Strong understanding of future mobility trends (EVs, ADAS, AI, sustainability)
Good business acumen and strong communication ability to influence across level
Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in dynamic, multicultural environments
Flexibility to travel to Southeast Asia Region
Skillsets (Nice to Have)
Technical background in areas such as electrification, ADAS, AI/ML, IOT / Connected Device, Mobility data ecosystem, Sustainaibility, etc
Capability to coach teams on innovation practices
