The Investment Manager will be responsible for executing new investments, managing a portfolio of investments, building relationships with entrepreneurs and industry experts, and contributing to the overall strategy of the firm. JAFCO Asia’s focus is on high growth companies in their early to growth-stage. JAFCO Asia has offices in Singapore, Taipei, Shanghai and Beijing. Key Responsibilities Source and evaluate investment opportunities in early-stage companies in Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore. Conduct due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis, market research, and competitive analysis. Create fundamental research on new markets and industries of investment interest. Develop investment thesis and investment memos accordingly. Identify the trends in various sectors through primary and secondary research and build a steady pipeline of new prospects basis of the investment thesis. Work with entrepreneurs and management teams to develop business plans and financial models. Negotiate deal terms and structure investments. Monitor and manage a portfolio of investments, including tracking financial performance and providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies. Build relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other investors to stay informed about emerging trends and opportunities. End-to-end management of investee companies. Contribute to the overall strategy of the firm and participate in fundraising efforts. Requirements Undergrad or Post Grad in Technology, Business, Economics or Commerce from a top-tier institute/ Chartered Accountant. Has a flair for technology and upcoming sectors. MBA or CFA is not necessary, but will be an advantage. Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in either Big 4’s transaction advisory or Due Diligence Team, Tech/Venture Capital/Corporate Finance/ or Consulting. We are open to evaluating candidates having experience of working at early-stage or hyper-growth startups. High degrees of ownership with a can-do attitude. Resourceful, dynamic, reliable and dependable, with high sense of responsibility for the investments under his/her portfolio. Understands Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore markets very well and can source deals through their own networks. Open mindset and dynamism is an absolute must. Able to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral form to all levels of the Company. Occasional travelling is needed for the role. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Singapore.
