We are working with a top-tier US law firm in Singapore that is looking to expand its investment funds practice with the hire of a Junior Associate.
In this role, you will advise prominent fund sponsors and institutional investors on all aspects of the investment fund lifecycle, from structuring and formation through to investments, secondaries, and liquidity solutions. Their work spans private equity, venture capital, credit, and other alternative asset classes, and often includes strategic joint ventures and bespoke fund arrangements across Asia and globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on the structuring, formation, and closing of private investment funds, including limited partnerships and other vehicles.
- Supporting fund sponsors and investors on capital raising, regulatory compliance, and operational matters throughout the fund lifecycle.
- Handling co-investments, fund investments, secondary transactions, and bespoke liquidity solutions.
- Assisting with the negotiation and structuring of joint venture arrangements and strategic partnerships.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years' PQE, ideally from a leading international law firm or a top-tier funds practice.
- Common law qualified (US, UK, Australia, Singapore, etc.).
- Strong experience in fund formation and related transactions; exposure to secondaries and joint ventures is advantageous.
- Commercially minded, with a collaborative approach and keen interest in the private capital markets space.
