Role Description / Areas of responsibility: Produce macroeconomic forecasts and analytical reports for ASEAN markets, with Thailand included in the designated coverage scope, and support internal stakeholders with cross‑country comparative insights. Write thematic research papers which are commercial and original, as well as regular reports on policy announcements and key data releases Develop quantitative forecasting models and new proprietary indicators Service client requests and regularly present views to external and internal clients Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as an economist or strategist covering the ASEAN region Minimum of 4 years of research experience covering markets that include Thailand, as the role requires analytical coverage of the Thai market. Advance quantitative skills, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in economic forecasting or econometric modelling. Strong writing and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to produce clear economic research and deliver insights effectively Experience collaborating with regulatory bodies or government agencies is an advantage Ability to work collaboratively in teams and manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Nomura Leadership Behaviours Explore Insights & Vision: Identify the underlying causes of problems faced by you or your team and define a clear vision and direction for the future.
