Business Analyst

Job Summary Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our clients Financial Services team in Singapore. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, analyze data, design process improvements, and support key decision-making initiatives. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified international candidates. Key Responsibilities Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders across financial departments. Develop detailed business and functional specifications to support technology and process improvements. Collaborate with IT teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure project deliverables align with expectations. Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction or process enhancement. Support the design, testing, and implementation of new systems or process automation tools. Prepare business reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to facilitate informed decision-making. Manage stakeholder communications, ensuring transparency and clarity throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct workshops and user training sessions for system rollouts and new process implementations. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong understanding of financial services, business process analysis, and data interpretation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SQL for data analytics and reporting. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence), and SDLC frameworks. Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively. Experience Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services or banking industry . Prior experience in requirements gathering, system implementation, or process reengineering projects preferred. Exposure to data analytics, fintech applications, or digital transformation initiatives is an added advantage. Working Hours Full-time, Monday to Friday. Standard Singapore business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM SGT). Flexibility required to meet project deadlines or collaborate across time zones when necessary. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities. Advanced documentation and visualization skills using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart. Sound knowledge of financial systems, compliance requirements, and reporting frameworks. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
