As an F&B Host at Publico Ristorante, you will be the first point of contact in creating a memorable dining experience at InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay. Your role is to provide a warm welcome, guide guests through their journey, and ensure every detail reflects the lively charm and sophistication of our award‐winning Italian restaurant. Responsibilities Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment by collaborating closely with fellow Hosts, Servers, Bartenders, and Leaders to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly service standards. Take ownership of your working environment by ensuring the host stand, reservation system, menus, and guest areas are always prepared to deliver excellent service each day. Embrace ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge, skills, and confidence in delivering luxury dining experiences. Support colleagues by sharing best practices and assisting new team members in learning IHG service standards. Be an ambassador of Publico Ristorante and InterContinental Hotels by consistently upholding grooming standards, professional conduct, and the IHG True Hospitality values. Ensure efficient use of restaurant resources such as menus, guest materials, and POS systems to reduce waste and manage costs responsibly. Accurately manage reservations and seating to maximise table turnover while balancing guest comfort and operational flow. Contribute to the hotel’s productivity by coordinating seating plans and guest flow efficiently during peak service periods. Handle guest property and restaurant assets responsibly, safeguarding them from loss or damage. Deliver an exceptional welcome and farewell for every guest, ensuring each interaction reflects the warmth and authenticity of Italian hospitality. Anticipate guest needs by proactively managing reservations, accommodating special requests where possible, and providing personalised recommendations. Be attentive and responsive to guest interactions, providing friendly and professional assistance at all times. Support seamless guest journeys by coordinating effectively with the service, culinary, and bar teams. Take pride in achieving high guest satisfaction scores across brand audits, mystery shopper reports, internal surveys, and online reviews. Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and SOPs with strict attention to health, safety, and hygiene standards. Actively support IHG’s Responsible Business initiatives by minimising waste, conserving energy and water, and using resources efficiently within the restaurant. Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and immediately report hazards, risks, or incidents. Uphold confidentiality and respect guest privacy at all times. Represent the InterContinental brand values by demonstrating care for colleagues, guests, and the wider Robertson Quay community. As the face of Publico Ristorante, manage guest flow and ensure every dining experience begins and ends with excellence, embodying the InterContinental brand promise of luxury and genuine hospitality. Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a guest-facing role within a restaurant, bar, or hotel environment is an advantage, though not essential as training will be provided. Good communication skills in English to interact effectively with colleagues and guests; proficiency in additional languages is a plus. A warm, welcoming, and professional personality with a strong focus on guest service and hospitality. A positive, dependable, and proactive attitude, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast‐paced dining environment. Well‐groomed and able to uphold the highest standards of personal presentation as a brand ambassador for Publico Ristorante and InterContinental Hotels. Strong organisational and time‐management skills to handle reservations, guest flow, and seating arrangements smoothly.
