Software Asset Management Specialist (SAP Licensing) As a skilled and proactive Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist, you will be supporting a Fortune 500 client within the IT consulting industry. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the integration, optimization, and administration of Flexera solutions, with a focus on enterprise software license management and asset lifecycle governance. Your expertise in Flexera technologies such as FlexNet Manager Suite and Flexera One, along with a deep understanding of software licensing models, especially SAP, will be crucial for success in this role.Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing Flexera solutions tailored to meet specific business needs. You will also be tasked with administering and optimizing Flexera platforms to support software asset management (SAM), license compliance, and optimization initiatives. Managing complex software licensing, particularly SAP licenses, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency, will be a significant part of your role.Furthermore, you will be expected to integrate Flexera with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools, such as ServiceNow, to enhance automation and data integrity across platforms. Collaboration with stakeholders from IT, Procurement, Security, and Compliance to gather requirements and deliver customized SAM solutions will also be essential.In addition, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, promoting best practices and process improvement. Regular system audits, reporting, and software usage analysis to support compliance and cost-saving efforts are also part of your responsibilities. It is crucial to maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.To excel in this role, you should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience administering and integrating Flexera tools, including FlexNet Manager Suite and/or Flexera One. A solid understanding of software asset management best practices and license optimization strategies is required, along with a strong working knowledge of major software licensing models, especially SAP licensing models. Familiarity with integrating Flexera with platforms like ServiceNow, particularly within ITAM and ITSM ecosystems, is beneficial.Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills are necessary, along with strong communication abilities to explain complex licensing and system topics to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Staying current with industry trends in SAM, ITAM, and relevant technologies, such as Flexera, ServiceNow, and cloud licensing, is essential.This is a full-time position with the benefit of working from home.
