A leading global investment bank is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join its Capital Markets IT team in Singapore.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
Collaborate with Product Owners to analyze and decompose business requirements.
Translate requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
Functional Design & Solutioning
Support the team with functional expertise and contribute to solution design.
Evaluate existing solutions and understand technical constraints.
Quality Assurance & Production Support
Assess functional impacts on SLAs/OLAs.
Contribute to BDD, functional testing, and deployment activities.
Team Enablement
Train and support team members on functional aspects of the software.
Assist in resolving functional issues.
Integration & Architecture Alignment
Ensure seamless integration of software with the broader information system landscape.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Business Analyst Should Have
Master's degree in the related field
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, with a focus on Market Data administration.
Hands-on experience with Asset Control and FPML.
Strong understanding of financial instruments (bonds, rates, equities, etc.) and the trading lifecycle.
Experience working with Bloomberg, Reuters, and other market data providers.
Deep knowledge of static market data types, sources, and usage.
Technical proficiency in SQL, Excel, and ideally Python or R.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
Willingness to provide Level 3 support when needed.
Nice-to-Have
Experience with Summit, Calypso, or other Back/Front Office systems.
Familiarity with tools like Jira, SharePoint, Visio, GIT.
Understanding of UML and software development lifecycle best practices.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
What's On Offer
This is a 1-year contract role. The role requires presence on-site and offers a hybrid work arrangement.
